Materials

Materials are constantly being developed, rearranged, tweaked, created, and destroyed to result in new materials for wide-ranging applications. This list is an abbreviated one as an application is needed to realize the potential of our materials in development. If there is a need for materials for specific applications, please contact us.

Materials Available:

  1. Fiber to replace Dacron for implantable applications - This fiber is much more biostable and bioinert in contact with metal, is more compliant than Dacron with equal tensile strength, and does not cause chronic inflammation.
  2. Polymer to replace polyurethanes for implantable applications - This polymer is more biostable than PU, and, among others, its properties don't change in the presence of humidity or water.
