Materials
Materials are constantly being developed, rearranged, tweaked, created, and destroyed to result in new materials for wide-ranging applications. This list is an abbreviated one as an application is needed to realize the potential of our materials in development. If there is a need for materials for specific applications, please contact us.
Materials Available:
- Fiber to replace Dacron for implantable applications - This fiber is much more biostable and bioinert in contact with metal, is more compliant than Dacron with equal tensile strength, and does not cause chronic inflammation.
- Polymer to replace polyurethanes for implantable applications - This polymer is more biostable than PU, and, among others, its properties don't change in the presence of humidity or water.
